Westinghouse SURE will be returning for a light workday at the Westinghouse Memorial in Schenley Park on Tuesday, May 7. We will again be working with the Pittsburgh Parks Foundation to perform a spring cleanup, mulching and planting. We will also be teaming with Westinghouse on this project and expect that some of their employees will be participating. The work will be on the lighter side of effort and should be compatible with most members.
The Memorial is located at the corner of Schenley Drive and West Circuit Rd, near the Westinghouse Shelter. We will begin at 10:00 and work until noon followed by a picnic at the shelter. SURE will provide drinks and hoagies and we ask you to bring snacks to share with others.
A second workday at the Memorial is planned for latter in the Fall. SURE had a very successful and fun day last year at the site and plan to continue our efforts into the future, helping to preserve George’s legacy.
If have any questions about this activity, please contact Dave Altman at (724) 325-4491 or email@example.com.
