Westinghouse SURE Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for Westinghouse SURE.  This privacy notice applies solely to personal data collected by Westinghouse SURE.  We define personal data as data that identifies or can reasonably be expected to identify you, such as email address, and phone number and data that is linked to such personal data (such as demographic data and location data).  

This Policy will notify you of the following:

• What personally identifiable information is collected from you by SURE and our SURE Connections, www.westinghousesure.org, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
• What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
• The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
• How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owner of the information provided to SURE.  We only have access to or collect information that you give us via email or other direct contact from you.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We collect your personal data when you choose to provide it as you interact with us in person or through our SURE Connections in order to help us support our mission and serve you.  For instance, when you joined SURE you provided personal data as part of your enrollment.  Information you might provide includes:

• Contact and identification information, such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• Content you create or submit, such as survey responses.
• Demographic information such as your age, date of birth, gender.
• Westinghouse place of employment.

We will use your information to communicate with you and to provide you with information related to SURE and SURE activities, including delivering the information, programs, products and/or services that you request; processing your payments; conducting and administering surveys; event registration; and performing other business functions consistent with our non-profit mission and to serve our membership.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy, we do not share your personal data with any third party outside of SURE without your consent.  You may limit certain sharing of your personal data as described below under "Personal Data Corrections".  We may share personal data with unaffiliated companies or individuals we hire to provide services or perform business functions on our behalf (such as print, mail, or email vendors; web hosting vendors; cloud service providers; consultants, digital advertising and analytics vendors.)  These vendors need access to the personal data to perform the functions that were requested of them.  Such vendors are contractually required to treat the personal data we provide as confidential and to use personal data only to provide the services we have requested. 

SURE Connections (the SURE website) is hosted by a third party provider, Wild Apricot (a cloud service provider).  Wild Apricot is web-based software for small associations and non-profits to help manage membership, website, events and other activities.  The Wild Apricot Inc. Privacy Policy can be found at www.wildapricot.com/privacypolicy.  We also may use other third parties to conduct surveys.

In addition, SURE has entered into a contract with ticketsatwork (also known as SURE Perks on SURE Connections) to provide notice to SURE members regarding potential discounts from various vendors.  Please note that a SURE member must enroll in ticketsatwork, otherwise your personal information will not be shared with ticketsatwork.  Ticketsatwork will not share or distribute your personal information to third parties except as part of the function of the ticketsatwork program and as described in the ticketsatwork Privacy Policy and as required by law.   A full description of the ticketsatwork Privacy Policy, including the right to opt out of receipt of emails from ticketsatwork can be found at https://www.ticketsawork.com/tickets/privacy.php.

SURE. Uses the service of a on-line payment processor, Affinipay.  The Affinipay Privacy Policy is set out at  https://www.affinipay.com/terms/privacy/.  If you do not wish to make an on-line payment through Affinipay, payments can be made by check as well. 

SURE reserves the right to change service providers or to engage additional service providers consistent with the mission of SURE to serve its membership.

Disclosure Required by Law

We may disclose your personal data (1) if we believe we are required to do so by law, regulation or legal process such as in response to a court order, subpoena, or similar investigative demand; (2) as we deem appropriate to defend against legal claims, exercise our legal rights, or as otherwise required by law.

How We Protect Personal Data

Westinghouse SURE uses secure servers designated by the “https” in the web address and the lock symbol to access SURE Connections and ticketsatwork offers.  Despite our safeguards, however no website, app or information system can ever be completely secure so we cannot guarantee that the use of our system or SURE Connections will be completely safe or secure.

Personal Data Corrections

If you wish to make a change to personal data we have collected about you, you may do so via the Sure Connections web-site (www.westinghousesure.org).  After login, click on your name in the upper right corner, then the Edit Profile link and make the changes.  Be sure to hit the Save button.  Or you can contact us at (412) 256-2860 and we will make the changes for you.

Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice by positng an updated Privacy Policy.  On SURE Connections  If we do so, we will revise the "Updated “ date at the top of the Privacy Policy.
