Westinghouse SURE Electronic Communications Policy

Consent 

Westinghouse SURE commits to sending mass emails, newsletters, and surveys to members who have explicitly agreed to receive such communications. This consent is acquired when individuals join the organization and provide personal details such as their name, address, email address, phone number, and birth year.

Content

Communications are sent to members that will be clear, pertinent, and respectful.

Frequency

The rate at which email communications are sent will be reasonable and consistent with a non-profit member organization. 

Opt-Out Mechanism

Recipients can stop receiving emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link on an “event email, sending an email to westinghousesure7@gmail.com, calling the Westinghouse SURE office at (412) 256-2860, or writing to Westinghouse SURE, 641 Braddock Ave., East Pittsburgh, PA, 15112. Requests to opt-out will be processed in a timely manner.  Another option for members to update their profile by logging into the Westinghouse SURE website.

Data Protection

Westinghouse SURE will manage members’ contact information used for mass emails in compliance with its privacy policy and applicable data protection measures. Contact lists will be securely stored, safeguarded from unauthorized access or misuse, and will not be shared with any external organization.

Compliance

All mass email messages will adhere to the laws and regulations governing electronic communications.
