Production of natural gas from the Marcellus Shale formation underlying Pennsylvania and surrounding states is certainly booming.  Over the last ten years, production in PA has increased 2800%!  PA is now the second highest ranked state in gas production and in proven reserves.  PA has transformed from a net importer of natural gas to a net exporter; only consuming 1/4 of production within the state.  The new abundance of local gas has created demand for pipeline takeaway capacity to other markets and many local service companies.  Wholesale gas and electricity costs, which previously exceeded national benchmarks, are now priced at a discount to national costs.  Attend this presentation to hear more about this subject.
