SURE Group Tour at the Heinz History Center on July 18

  • 18-Jul-2023
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Heinz History Center, Pittsburgh, PA

Registration

Come join your fellow SURE members on Tuesday, July 18, at the Heinz History Center located at 1212 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA  15222 (phone: 412-454-6000) for an informative 90-minute guided tour focusing on a Tradition of Innovation and Westinghouse.

Guests may stay after the guided tour to visit the other exhibits including the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum. In addition, SURE members can visit The Negro Motorist Green Book exhibition, presented in partnership with the Smithsonian. This exhibit offers an immersive look at the reality of travel for African Americans in mid-century America and how the Green Book served as guide to freedom and opportunity amidst an era of oppression.

The cost is $14.00 for the 90-minute guided tour which will begin shortly after 10:00 am.  To register please click the button below.  Spouses, significant others and guests are welcome but must be registered.

Since this is a guided tour, there is no free or discounted admission for current Heinz History Center members.

Although there is no limit on attendance, we need to close registration on July 10 to help the Heinz Center accomodate our group. For those who prefer to pay by check, please make your check payable to Westinghouse SURE and mail to Dave Altman at 1532 O’Block Road, Pittsburgh PA 15239. Please contact Dave at (412) 605-8617 if you are mailing a check.

We are considering meeting at a nearby restaurant for an optional post-tour lunch.

Please consider joining us on July 18.
